AgricultureOur focus is on delivering practical results on farm translating to improved commercial returns for farmers who have negative impacts from feral animals.
We understand the challenges facing farmers due to feral animals and overabundant native species. Adverse impacts for farmers can include damage to crops and pasture, damage to fencing, predation on livestock, competition for feed, land degradation, spreading of weeds, plant disease transmission, biosecurity risks and exotic disease outbreak. Consequently farmers are faced with significant financial costs due to reduced productivity, product quality and profitability.
The economic impacts on the agricultural sector are enormous as indicated by some government estimates: "The NSW Natural Resources Commission Cost of Pest Animals Report 2013-2014 estimates the annual economic impact on the agricultural industry in Australia is approximately $596 million, including lost agricultural production and the cost of vertebrate pest management." (Source: www.nrc.nsw.gov.au) We work with agricultural landowners to develop practical and effective wildlife management solutions tailored to your specific needs. Our goal is to help farmers improve productivity, product quality and profitability through short and long term reduction in feral animal populations regardless of scale - from small acre intensive fruit farms, to cropping properties and broad acre cattle stations.
